I had the best experience buying my new CX-5 Carbon edition at #1 Cochran Mazda North Hills. I found a vehicle I loved on their website and was very pleasantly surprised to stumble across a great financing offer! I reached out Friday afternoon and worked with Ben Schuster to set up a test drive this morning and was able to come home with it by this afternoon. Ben was outstanding to work with, very knowledgeable, understanding, and had a very non intimating approach. Everything was seamless from the test drive to the paperwork. I also appreciate the dealership’s clear and straightforward approach to pricing and financing. I had an estimate of the car payment in my email within 30 minutes of reaching out Friday…made it much easier to move forward with the process knowing exactly what I was getting into ahead of time. All in all I highly recommended Cochran as a dealership and Ben as a salesman!

I believe in being fair. Last week I spoke of #1 Cochran Mazda North Hills failure. But they turned it around. A member of the management team called me the next day. They had already counseled the service writer that should have offered me a loaner. They had already sent my notes on my experience of the AI Bot to the 3rd party provider to correct that service. They offered me another appointment to get it right. They covered the cost of the inspection, the oil change, and a discount on the other service needed. They provided a loaner car, that due to car parts needing to be ordered, ended up being 6 days with the loaner. Well done Cochran! By the way, this was the first money I spent on repairing my Miata for other than an oil change, tires, and inspection in the 17 years I've owned this car. Great product! ##### #1 Cochran Mazda North Hills failed today. Mia Rhodes, of Cochran Mazda North Hills, has been texting me to get my car inspection done. Initially, I went to the website, but it said they had no openings for the next 105 days. So I text Mia to setup my appointment for the annual inspection, oil change, tire rotation, and air conditioning service. It was set for this morning. I drove 45-minutes to get there. I went with stuff to do knowing that I would be there a while. I was informed my appointment was only made for an oil change and the tire rotation. The more important other two items were in the notes, but not included in the allocation of time. Plus they were down a mechanic. When I said something about setting it up by text, I was told Mia was their AI Bot and that they argued about it all the time too. Ok so your AI has a first and last name and never represents that she is human but also never tells you she is a bot and does the job poorly. If it were a human, they would at least coach her on her work performance or even fire her (unless she was the owner’s kid). And they would certainly apologize for her poor work. The service writer went to the service manager and was sent back to say they could do the oil change and the tire rotation, but that would be it. No apology! No offer of a discount or free service for the inconvenience. This is why I don’t plan on going back to Cochran Mazda and will not take my Chevy back to #1 Cochran Chevrolet either. Let’s add insult to injury. I posted the above to my Facebook page, highlighting both dealerships mentioned. I’ve heard nothing. I posted it to their website form. Within 10 minutes, I got a text, email, and call from #1 Cochran of Monroeville seeking to respond to my inquiry to buy a new car. Are you kidding me, I just sent you a complaint not an inquiry.

The past few weeks of trying to find a car that I wanted was extremely aggravating; manual stock is low everywhere and every vehicle that I was interested in seemed to be presold. I was talking to over 10 different dealerships, but ended up driving off the Cochran Mazda North Hills lot yesterday in a brand new Mazda3 Hatch. Vadym, was excellent – probably the least stereotypical car salesman I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. Great communication, knowledgeable about the vehicles, no pushiness, no fake niceties, no bs. Through the whole process he explained my options, let me make a decision, and then did whatever he could to make what I wanted happen. My wife will be due for a new vehicle soon and I'll be calling Vadym when it's time. Back of house was great too, paperwork was a breeze.

We purchased a new 2025 Mazda from this dealer several days ago. Our salesman, Matt, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was great to deal with. A couple of accessories were installed and the car was cleaned up nicely. All of the personnel we dealt with were friendly. The only negative part of our experience was the $477 “Doc Fee” that the dealer charged to fill in the blanks on the preprinted contract and registration forms. This was a cash deal so there were no loan documents to deal with. I thought the charge was completely unreasonable. The customer should not have to pay for the dealer to complete the sales documents; that five minutes of work should be included in the dealer’s cost of doing business. The Doc Fee is the only reason I didn’t give this dealer five stars.

Miranda made the process so simple and thoroughly went through options that fit what I was looking for.

Contacted them online about a specific car an hour before arrival. They had the used car handy when we arrived. The courteous salesperson knew some details on the car and promptly let us test drive. The first price sheet had no B.S. (like etched windows, Lojack, extended service packages, overinflated doc fees). The included powertrain warranty was covered in the quoted price of the vehicle. Bought the same day at the advertised price. (Have never done that before but it was a fair price and painless process.) Paperwork is unavoidable but the back office guy kept it moving. He offered some add-on service contracts but it was a quick question and nothing approaching a sales pitch. Also, the car hadn't been detailed. So they took care of that the next business day and communicated clearly when and how we could pick it up. Smooth.

It was satisfying. An excellent Saleman (Vadym). He was patient and knowledgeable, allowed me to try out several vehicles before settling on the CX-90 PHEV.

I test drove three suv's before deciding upon the CX-50. I asked for a specific color interior and exterior. Matt found the specific vehicle I requested in a timely manner and the transaction was smooth and easy, even the financial part. I am a proud first time Mazda driver! Thank you Matt and Cochran Mazda!

The finance guy, Craig was very kind and willing to fit me in in a timely manner. They got my rental picked up from there, called my car insurance for me, I am very pleased with the excellent customer service!

My experience with Cochran Mazda was outstanding. In over 35 years of purchasing vehicles, this was by far the easiest and most seamless process I’ve ever had. Everything was quick, simple, and still very thorough. The staff was incredibly professional, kind, and easy to work with. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a stress-free car buying experience.
